Road Trip

Imagine your progress journey is a road trip. Here are a few reminders:

  • You don’t have to “floor it” to move forward.

  • The car moves as soon as you take your foot off the brake.

You don’t have to go from 0-60. You just have to stop stopping yourself.

  • Most journeys begin by putting the car in reverse and backing up.

Backtracking and reflecting may be an essential part of your journey.
    Don’t resist it.

  • White-knuckling the wheel doesn’t make the car go any faster. You can ease up.

  • The setup matters: map your route, adjust your seat, buckle your seatbelt, put the car in drive… this phase is also part of the journey. Don’t skip it!

  • Enjoying the ride and the scenery won’t stop you from reaching your destination.

Denying pleasure and peace along the way isn’t helping you as much as you think it is.

  • You do, in fact, have a speed limit. Obey it to keep yourself safe. (avoid burnout)

Whatever road you’re moving down, I wish you a safe and rewarding journey!
